For Venezianico, entering the world of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) marks a new and important milestone. Our CEO and co-founder Alberto Morelli has been appointed as a member of the Academy, the international body that selects and votes for the best watchmaking creations worldwide each year.

This recognition goes beyond the personal level: it's proof that the work we’ve carried out with passion and vision is now gaining attention beyond the Italian borders.

What is the GPHG?

The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève is the most prestigious award dedicated to watchmaking. Created to celebrate technical and creative excellence, it brings together a jury of experts and members of the Academy every year to analyze, select, and vote for the most outstanding timepieces on the global stage.

Becoming part of the Academy means being recognized as one of the influential and knowledgeable voices in the industry, actively contributing to the promotion and appreciation of this extraordinary world.

Our debut in competition

2024 marked our first appearance among the brands selected by the GPHG, with two models officially competing:

• Redentore Bellanotte, in the Challenge category
• Redentore Historia Temporis, in the Time Only category

Two creations that fully express our vision: distinctive design, refined materials, and an authentic connection with Venetian artisanal tradition.

It was precisely from this first encounter that our path began to intersect with that of the GPHG, bringing Venezianico to the attention of an international community of experts and enthusiasts.
Being recognized in such a prestigious setting was a defining moment — and perhaps the beginning of something even greater.

Becoming part of the GPHG Academy is a meaningful recognition for us. It shows that even a young, independent Italian brand can stand out on the international watchmaking stage.

Since the beginning, we’ve taken a different path — one built around the product. We focus on meticulous design, artisanal craftsmanship, and materials rooted in our territory, such as 24-carat gold, aventurine glass, and engravings inspired by the Venetian Renaissance.

Alongside this, we’ve developed a working approach that blends the physical and digital worlds, supported by a network of carefully selected partners. Every watch we create is born with the intent to tell something real — through its design, its materials, and the details that make it unique.

Looking ahead

For us, innovation is a direction, not a goal. This is the spirit behind the development of our first Made in Italy movement, an ambitious project that marks a fundamental step in the technical and creative growth of the brand.
