Ancient Egypt
Paths of the East
This concept draws inspiration from the trade and cultural routes that enabled Venice to bridge the gap between East and West. For this special edition, we have reimagined our most elegant timepiece with a refined combination of finishes, featuring a sand-colored dial and Arabic numerals, to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Egypt's Independence.

The Arabic numeral indices match perfectly with the sand-colored dial, whose granular surface is inspired by the Egyptian desert landscape. The date disc is positioned at six o'clock and is embellished with a circular "diamond-cut" finish.

The relations between Venice and Egypt date back to well before the year 1000 A.D. The intensity of these exchanges is also documented by numerous historical artifacts that reveal a continuous relationship which spanned the entire history of the city. The bond that gradually developed became so strong that it even gave rise to legends, one of which explains the origin of the Lion of St. Mark, the emblem par excellence of the Serenissima Republic (i.e. Venice).
