From Venice to New York
Thanks for registering!
We’ve known the Worn & Wound team for years, crossing paths in the US and Italy, talking watches, sharing ideas and becoming friends along the way. So for Windup Watch Fair New York, we thought: why not finally make something together? Redentore Two Harbors brings Venice and New York into the same watch, celebrating two cities shaped by water and the journeys, discoveries and unexpected friendships that connect them.

“The best journeys leave you somewhere you never expected to be.”
Two Harbors is a story about what happens between departure and arrival. About leaving familiar shores behind, following curiosity and discovering how distance can create new connections. Its route across the Atlantic becomes a symbol of exploration: not simply a way of reaching somewhere new, but of returning with new ideas, perspectives and stories to share.

The journey begins in Venice, crossing the Mediterranean through Gibraltar and the Azores before setting out across the Atlantic towards New York. A route connecting two distant worlds, much like the friendship between Venezianico and Worn & Wound, built over the years through travels, encounters and a shared passion for watches.

New York and Venice come together through two different ways of working with matter. The New York skyline is rendered through a four-color print, with a visible grain inspired by the magazines, photographs and printed imagery that shaped twentieth-century American visual culture. Venice takes a more sculptural form in brass with an antique silver finish. At the center, a mother-of-pearl dial adds a natural surface that changes with every reflection of light.

Water inspired the palette of the entire watch, from the soft blues of the Venetian lagoon to the deeper tones of the Atlantic. Warmer shades gradually appear across the sky, evoking the changing light of a long crossing and that first glimpse of the New York skyline emerging on the horizon as the journey reaches its destination.

A Canvas for New York
The brass base is prepared with primer before receiving a four-color print inspired by the visual culture of twentieth-century America. Its deliberately visible grain recalls magazines, photography and printed imagery, giving the New York skyline the texture of ink on paper rather than the precision of a digital image. A polished ring frames the recessed opening that will later receive the mother-of-pearl dial.

Sculpted like a coin
The foreground gives the same city an entirely different presence. Starting from a custom 3D model, a dedicated die is created to strike the Statue of Liberty and surrounding architecture into brass, much like a traditional coin. Each piece is then finished by hand, rhodium-plated and given an antique silver treatment, with mineral oils applied to deepen the shadows and reveal the finest details of the relief.
“Between two harbors, there is a whole world to discover”
A journey is never just about where it begins or where it ends. It is shaped by the places in between, by changing waters, distant landmarks and the feeling of moving steadily towards somewhere new. From the Venetian Lagoon to the edge of the Mediterranean, across the Atlantic and finally into New York Harbor, we imagined the route of Two Harbors one stop at a time.

The journey unfolds
The story of Two Harbors continues beyond the watch. Created as an illustrated map of the journey, the dedicated packaging traces the route from Venice to New York across its different surfaces, revealing landmarks, coastlines and encounters along the way. As the box unfolds, so does the crossing, turning the packaging into one last chapter of the journey between the two harbors.

More than two harbors
Two Harbors may bring Venice and New York together, but the real connection has always been the people behind them. What began with a shared passion for watches grew, over years of meetings between Italy and the US, into a genuine friendship. This watch is our way of celebrating that bond, and all the unexpected connections that can happen when curiosity takes you somewhere new.
