Our chronograph is named after the Bucintoro, the sumptuous vessel used by the Doge of Venice to open the annual rowing competition which is currently known as the "Regata Storica" (Historical Regatta). This race ideally combines the agonistic concept of speed on water with the elegance of tradition.

The Seiko NE88 / 8R48 is at the top of the range of Seiko's automatic chronograph movements and is assembled by hand only by their most experienced, highly skilled watchmakers with decades of experience. We chose to equip our first chronograph with this movement for its excellent performance which clearly distinguish it from all other chronograph calibers in the same price range.

Chronograph functions
Bucintoro has three indicators for the chronograph functions. Hinged on the central shaft is the chronograph seconds hand, which also allows to read speed (on the kilometer distance) through the tachymetric scale located on the rehaut. The 30-minute chronograph counter is at 9 o'clock and contrasts with the continuous seconds counter at 3 o'clock. Lastly, the third counter below indicates hours.

Sportiness on the wrist
A chronograph is the ideal companion for those who embrace sportiness. Its well-balanced case and dynamic design make it the perfect watch for your adventures, ready to measure speed with a unique style and flare.

A Premium Caliber
Hand-assembled at the Grand Seiko facilities in Morioka, Japan, the NE88 stands as a pinnacle of mechanical chronograph engineering, delivering precision and reliability at the highest level.

Column wheel and vertical clutch
Systems with column wheel and vertical clutch are the most precise ones, but also solve the annoying phenomenon of the so-called "jumping hand" that affects those systems that do not use them. The column wheel has a shape similar to the top of a medieval crenelated tower. To ensure a smoother engagement, and therefore a more pleasant user experience, each cranel (i.e. each "column") must be finished by hand, to remove even the smallest processing residues.
